The Blasting Cap™ 2.0 is the next evolution of one of the most popular tactical hats we’ve ever made. Originally designed around the needs of Special Operations personnel working in combat environments, the Blasting Cap has spent more than a decade becoming a staple of downrange headwear. The 2.0 keeps the DNA of the original while introducing a tougher, more structured and athletic fit.
Built from 100% polyester performance fabric with a lightweight, ripstop-inspired feel, the Blasting Cap 2.0 is designed to hold its shape without the bulk of traditional tactical headwear. Laser-cut ventilation across the rear panels provides increased airflow while maintaining a clean, low-profile appearance.
Large front and rear Velcro patch fields provide space for identifier, morale, unit and IR patches. Inside, the Blasting Cap 2.0 retains the signature high-vis VS-17 orange marking panel inspired by the military signaling equipment that helped define the original Blasting Cap.
The minimal-stretch, fitted 6-panel construction creates a secure, structured profile built for the range, field, outdoors and everyday wear.

Tiger stripe is my second hat purchase. I feel the multicam hat I purchased a few years ago is a little deeper and sits further down on my head but the tiger stripe seems made a little tougher. Overall satisfied.
Love these hats, wish the crown was a little bit less structured and the elastic lasted a little bit longer, but it is what it is. I go through two or three of these hats a year and will continue to buy them. It is difficult to find a full multicam in small to medium in stock. When I do I buy as many as I can.

Very well made hat. Probably the nicest I've owned of any other brand. Milspec Monkey hats would be a close second, but everything else is crap compared to the Blasting Cap!

Need I say more Fam? As someone who's had to walk until my feet bled just to shoot bad guys in the face, you're not gonna get a more relevant endorsement than that. Us Grunts brake, tear and rip everything to pieces. It's kinda what WE DO....So the fatc that I have one from like 6 years ago is a testament unto itself. This is my third variation of this hat in Multicam Arid as well as grey and Woodland. Excellent hat that doesn't make you look like an operator while giving you some of the benefits of what an operator's hat should have. It's a shame these are no longer being offered, but I guess that is what stocking up is for.
This Blasting Cap is one of the best caps I have ever had! Likely the best ball cap ever. Pros: comfortable, velcro on front and back for patches/ identifiers, and they look great! Negative: I have a big head, and if I didn’t have super short hair, I don’t see how this XL could fit me. So not much of a “negative”, but something to be aware of.

I prefer adjustable ball caps because manufacturers size the flex fit styles differently. Fortunately the large/x-large fit fine. Love the woodland Camo pattern and the blaze orange interior.

[Accidentally didn’t complete my review earlier] Love the functionality of the hat! It’s very well thought out. I’m giving it a 4 stars, but really it’s a 4 3/4 because I really do love it and I wear it all the time, but having a little bit of tension adjustability or just a tighter sweatband would make it 5 stars for me. This became apparent to me when I tried to run with it on. If a headwind comes at me, then the hat flies off. It also once flew off while I was on a boat going 20mph (won’t blame the design for that one really), but I think it’s worth noting that the hat floated on the water long enough for me to turn around and find it in the wake and retrieve it. It was dry within about an hour too!
Purchased for my husband who is an avid hat wearer...it’s his new favorite. He wears 7 3/8 in fitted hats and the L/XL fits perfectly!
Truly the best tacticool hat out there! Great fit and material. I had the ranger green one for about 4 years till i wanted this one, the old one is still usable to this day!

True to size. 7.25" Mellon and fit is spot on (L/XL). Color Ranger Green spot on..very important detail there. Solid build and happy with it. Ready to deploy right out of package, no need for a lighter or edged weapon to "clean up" loose threads n' whatnot. I'll be looking to pick up a few more colors in the near future.
